The Bloggers’ Style Camp Culmination Night to Remember

GMA Network is celebrating its 65 years of “Making a Difference in the Hearts and Lives of the Filipino People,” and with this, the Kapuso station introduced one of its biggest innovations in the digital platform – the Bloggers’ Style Camp, a fashion n photography competition.

It is an event like no other attended by not only the most influential entertainment, lifestyle, beauty and fashion bloggers but was also graced by GMA esteemed talents Gabbi Garcia and Ruru Madrid, Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix, Joyce Ching and Kristoffer Martin, and Rhian Ramos and Glaiza de Castro.

These four teams were put into competition where they were given the challenge to come up with a photo shoot that reflects the theme “Making a Difference in the Hearts and Lives of the Filipino People.”

As a result, team GabRu went for an avant-garde environment-themed pictorial, while Team BiGuel went for a showcase of the importance of education. Team KrisJoy captured the concept of anti-bullying, while team RaStro translated their roles in the ground-breaking series The Rich Man’s Daughter to campaign for gender equality.
The first batch of photo layouts by the teams was released online via www.gmanetwork.com/bsc.

Through the website, fans were also given the chance to vote for their favorite teams for the following categories: People’s Choice Award, Female Super Stunner Award, and Marvelous Male Award.

The Bloggers’ Style Camp Culmination Night showcases the results of the artists and bloggers’ collaboration. Held this June 27, 2015 at URBN Bar and Kitchen, at Bonifacio Global City, this event holds the unveiling of the final photo layouts and the awarding of the Style Camp winners.

All of the layouts went through rigorous judging by Style Camp’s distinctive panel of judges, namely advertising photographer, Mr. Rene Mejia; actress and host, Ms. Nina Ricci Alagao; and creative consultant, Mr. Celso Divino.

The judges deduced which team had the most creative interpretation and presentation of the theme based on the following criteria: creativity and originality, composition, relevance to the theme, and artistic merit.

The event also holds presentations of GMA Network’s latest digital assets. GMA lets the attendees in on its launching mobile application, and the available microsites on GMANetwork.com: the up-and-coming love team Gabbi and Ruru’s GabRu microsite, and the online and on-air program To The Top’s microsite.
